Stan Collymore has paid an emotional tribute to Gary Shaw, whose dying was introduced at present, describing the previous Aston Villa striker as a “actual life superhero”.
Shaw handed away on the age of 63 after struggling head accidents in a fall at dwelling.
He’s greatest remembered for scoring 18 objectives as Villa received the league in 1981 and forming a deadly strike partnership with Peter Withe because the membership went on to win the European Cup 12 months later.
Collymore, who grew up a Villa fan, wrote on X: “Pricey Gaz.
“I wished to play soccer due to you. I like Villa due to you.
“After I was 11 I requested my Mother if I might have a blonde wedge due to you. Her wry “I don’t assume we are able to do this, Son” will stick with me as certainly one of my abiding reminiscences of her, too.
