German-born Ghanaian defender Kofi Schulz has completed a move to Iranian club Mes Rafsanjan.The 35-year-old left-back joins the team after spending two and a half years at Austrian Bundesliga side WSG Tirol, where he made 30 appearances in the top division last season. Schulzs contract with Tirol expired in June, and he now embarks on a new chapter in Iran.Mes Rafsanjan, who finished tenth in the Iranian Pro League last season, announced the signing on their official media platforms, stating, “The German defender of Tirol club, who was in the Austrian league last season, has joined Mes Rafsanjan.Experienced and high-ranking German defender Kofi Yeboah Schulz joined the orange team with the opinion of Navidkia and signed a contract for one season.”Schulzs wealth of experience is expected to strengthen Mes Rafsanjan’s defense as the team aims to improve on their previous league performance.His move is anticipated to bring stability and leadership to the Iranian sides backline.
