Millwall claim convincing 2-0 win over QPR to climb back into second in Championship

Millwall maintained their push for promotion to the Premier League with a 2-0 win over QPR at The Den on Saturday, climbing back into second place in the Championship table.

The Lions took the lead in the 25th minute through a goal from Aiden O’Brien, and doubled their advantage just before half-time through a strike from Ben Thompson.

The hosts’ victory marked their fifth win in their last six matches, and they are now just two points behind leaders Coventry United with seven games remaining in the season.

Millwall manager Gary Rowett praised his team’s performance, saying: “We were excellent today, and we fully deserved the three points. We’ve been working hard on our set pieces, and it paid off with both goals coming from corners.”
